West Forks Base
From points south: Take I-95 - exit
133 (formerly exit 36) "Rt. 201-Skowhegan" Drive North on
Rt. 201 for 62-3 miles into the West Forks. (follow below)
From points north: Take I-95 - exit
157 (formerly exit 39) "Rt. 2 West - Newport" Drive west on
Rt. 2 into Skowhegan. Take a right onto Rt. 201 and follow below.
From points west: Take Rt. 2 East into Skowhegan. Drive north
on Rt. 201 and follow below.
You will pass through Skowhegan (last chance for late night stores &
gas stations), Solon, Bingham & The Forks. You will then drive over
the Kennebec River bridge. We are almost 1/2 mile past the bridge.
The River House Lodge
is the log house 100 yds after the store on the left/riverside. Check-in:
after 4:00pm The Outpost Lodge
is the log house on the right, just north of the River House, next to
the round Quonset Hut. Check-in: after 4:00pm Check-in
for Sled Rentals is just north of the Outpost lodge, at the
Hawk's Nest Restaurant/Pub, the 3 story, State-of-the-Art
log lodge directly across the river on your right.
