The Hawk's Nest Restaurant & Pub is located on the Dead River in Maine. The Hawk's Nest is one of a kind…you won't find anything that compares for hundreds of miles. Nearly every surface of this log lodge is custom designed and handcrafted by the North American's President, Peter Dostie. The entire structure was built utilizing 100-200 year old American logs. The many beautiful log carvings were created by Connecticut's Jeff Samudosky, who is ranked as one of the nation's best carvers.
We welcome you to come up and take a tour of the Hawk's Nest's 3-stories and the spectacular views of the Dead River. The Hawk's Nest is open year-round to all four season outdoor adventures as well as for those traveling along the National Scenic Byway Route 201 for the foliage or on your way into Canada.
The Hawk's Nest is home to the 3-story, 36 ft Indoor Climbing Wall and is the highest in the State of Maine. Accommodating 16 climbers at a time, you can even watch and learn from other climbers as you view through glass panes in the dining room and 3rd story, games and entertainment area.
Enjoy great food and spirits inside by the stone fireplace or outside on the decks overlooking the Dead River. Whether you are enjoying the sunset or stepping off your Snowmobile from the snowmobile trail ITS 86, you will be glad you stayed.
The 8ft Entertainment Screen is sure to please the sports or movie buff.
