Maine Whitewater Rafting Adventure
Dead River White Water Rafting
Dead River, Maine: Class III-IV+
The Dead River has more whitewater rapids per mile than any other river in the Northeast! During select dates in the spring and fall, the Dead is flooded with 5,500-7,000 cfs (cubic feet per second) of white water. Through 15 miles of remote wilderness the Dead River gains intensity with every rapid.
For the adventurous and true whitewater thrill-seekers, these runs have the biggest holes and waves of the year. During the first two releases, water levels often exceed 7,000 - creating one of the most exciting rafting trips in the country!
